How about a recently played/started-not-finished list for movies and tv-shows in library mode?
Annoying to scroll past all movies to get to the movie I started to watch yesterday in my large movie library, and sometimes it goes days and I forget what movie I started watching =)
A nice feature according to me

The last played date isn't stored in the db. There's already a ticket on trac for it.
Last played date isn't important only the ability to se what movies I have started but not finished. The restart position are stored in the db? So then it possible to list the started files from the db? Or am I wrong.

Take a look at the smartplaylists for videos. If it has the facility to do it, it'll be via them.
As for the ticket on last played date, I can't seem to find it, so maybe I was imagining things. Perhaps sho will come along and tell us differently.

One other idea is to have resume-points available to smart playlists.
Then you could make a smart playlist containing all videos you have stopped while playing and sort them by date.
I am not sure there is a ticket for that, but the idea is discussed some here:

There probably should be a separate ticket...
