Option to play random Movie or random episode from a TV Show

i've done a search and not seen anything on this, I was thinking that it would be a good idea to be able to select an tv episode / film at random, for example some times i might fancy watching an episode of south park, i don't care enough to pick an episode as i'd be willing to watch any one but with the current system i cant help but look at the selected episode name and think about if there are better choices, i think it would be great to be able to press a "random" button that would select a film/movie from further into the library tree, as in if i selected a serires it would be random from within the entire series, but if i were to navigate into a particular season and select the random option it would be from within that season. don't know about anyone else but i think this would be a good idea? cheers guys

edit: was also thinking that it'd be a good to be able to access random from the playing screen, so that if i was opposed to the randomly selected episode i could easily select another episode at random.

I haven't tested this, but maybe you can do like in the music section? queue a folder that contains all the episodes you want it to choose from, and then go to the now playing screen and select "shuffle." I'm not sure that shuffle actually exists for videos, but i know there's a party mode for videos so there might be a shuffle too...

i had a look for a shuffle function in video in a variety of skins and couldn't see one,think the ability is completely absent from the video player. i think a specific "random" button would be better than shuffle aswell as say if the random episode that was chosen was the first in a 2 parter the next episode played would be the following ep.

You can just use a smartplaylist to do it, though if you want it specific to a particular show it would be trickier (you'd have to have a smartplaylist for each show).
