Don't know if anyone has had this happen before, but when closing XBMC via ALT-F4, windows will lock up after xbmc has closed. I recently removed my Soundblaster Audigy and replaced with my onboard ALC850 for use of spdif output. all old drivers were removed. Anyone have this issue or any idea what could cause this problem?
firstly i would recommend using keyboard buttons "S" followed by the enter key to close xbmc cleanly
actually im having a similar issue with a new pc i just built for a friend. close xbmc sometimes means pc reboots. ill try to get back to their house to grab some logs.using XBMCSetup-Rev17035.exe

ok, here goes....
with XBMCSetup-Rev17124-jester.exe today, when i select "s" and then "enter" i get a complete system lockup displaying the shutdown menu.
here is a log of my system ... http://pastebin.com/m50bc61c
now yesterday, when i perform the same shutdown sequence on dual core setup using XBMCSetup-Rev17035.exe, screen would go blank, followed by system reboot immediately.
unfortunately i dont have logs for that system atm.
ill try to install older svn and see if it corrects itself
2nd problem,
when playing a video and selecting the "o" key, only question marks are displayed at popup menu when using XBMCSetup-Rev17124-jester.exe .

oops...
my bad.
seems norton 2008 was hanging the pc, it was popping up a requester to allow or deny xbmc.exe from broadcasting.
the requester was only visable through ALT+TAB, and only worked occasionally.
this is solution for my pc, ill check faster pc later.

Updated to 17143 with same problems. still locks up when closing xbmc. possible audio driver problem?
On a related note, when i close XBMC with the X button on the main menu shutdown bar, the program (not windows) will freeze and i have to shutdown XBMC in windows processes to get back into windows. Happens sometimes but not every time.

I have tried different video drivers with the same problem. Logs show nothing but that XBMC shut down properly but about 15 seconds after xbmc closes the computer freezes and requires a hard reset. I believe it is linked to the Realtek ALC850 drivers that I have installed. If anyone has similar setup can you confirm what drivers you are using and if this problem occurs for you?
