Hello,
I recently found an issue with seek, fast-forward and rewind when playing back videos of any format. I believe it may be related to cache settings I've altered in the XBMC settings.
I originally upped all of the cache settings to 2048 or higher in an attempt to smooth out dvd playback (it turned out my video card needed to be updated). Later I found that in doing so, my video files couldn't use seek and it seemed like the time bar didn't display the elapsed and total time for the video correctly. I lowered the cache back to 1024, and that seemed to make seek semi-functional, but the problem is still apparent.
My questions are:
What are the default settings for cache in XBMC, or where is that documented? I'd like to set them back to default to make sure my problem goes away.
and
Should increasing cache settings effect seek or fast-forward?
Thanks in advance for any help.
