Power consumption

Hi,
I'm using xbmc on an Asus VM-HDMI with an RS690 ati chipset (radeon x1250).
Without xbmc the pc consumes ~58W, with xbmc loaded (in the main menu) ~90W,
with a film ~80W.
Is it possible? +30W seems to me too much...
