Hello XBMC users.
Im in the progress of rebuilding my HTPC from Windows XP MCE 2005 to XBMC. I really love it so far!
The system is now Win XP Pro SP3 with XBMC 8.10 - got it yesterday.
The only thing that is bugging me, is the button layout on the Microsoft MCE remote (RC6). I'm using IRSS, to get all buttons working like found in the tutorials here on the page.
I've also read about the Keymap.xml file, but my changes don't work?
Here is what i've done.
Changed from:
<FullscreenVideo>
<remote>
<back>SmallStepBack</back>
</remote>
</FullscreenVideo>
to:
<FullscreenVideo>
<remote>
<back>PreviousMenu</back>
<record>OSD</record>
</remote>
</FullscreenVideo>
(i left the unchanged things out)
So basically what i want to do, go back to the previous menu with the Back(space) button on the remote, like in MCE 2005. And get to the OSD menu with the record button. While playing videos.
But they keep acting like normal - rewind a few seconds back and screenshot.
I tried it in the system folder and the userdata folder. In the userdata folder i made a new Keymap.xml file, only containing what i wrote above.
What am i doing wrong?
Thank you. :o
