Hello all!

First of all I would just like to thank the developers. Running XBMC on hd-capable hardware was my dream a few years ago and look where we are now! :D

However, after installing 8.10 final my mouse has disappeared totally from xbmc. It's not that the pointer just isnt showing, there's no mouse, period :/

Computer is a HP 6715p laptop, mouse is a logitech MX518.
I was running Atlantis Beta 1 prior to installing 8.10, but did an uninstall and double checked that the profile dirs was completely removed so that the installation was to be fresh.

I've seen this happen sporadically, but a restart of XBMC has always solved it this far. You're having this problem permanently?

you may find using the keyboard is far quicker, but it does take some getting used to

not to be a wise ass but do you have the 'use mouse' option checked in settings?

thanks, restarting did the trick.

I restarted several times earlier today, both system and xbmc with no luck.
When starting it again to absolutely quad-check the Enable Mouse-option the pointer was there all of a sudden >_<

i will get more used to using keyboard tho, a lot faster navigating as u said.
adding sources and stuff like that is a bit quicker than keyboard only tho and it's nice to have the mouse as an option atleast ;D

again, thanks.

In my case the mouse works if I'm moving it while starting XBMC, whenever I forget to do it the mouse won't work. Just my two cents.

I have the same experience as Sirumem.

I have the same problem even with recent SVN builds. I just got in the habit of moving the mouse while XBMC is starting. If I don't, the mouse sometimes doesn't work (50/50?).

I'm still learning... thanks a lot!
