hey guys,

so this is a PC that used to run xbmc fine - no hardware modifications. reformatted, installed vista ultimate x64 but just can't get the video to work right.

using an ATI radeon xpress 1250 integrated to my asus htpc. driver version 8.342.0.0 (same as i was using before i'm quite sure), haven't installed any codecs or codec packs. video plays fine in vlc.

any ideas?
see image. nope, thats not a scene change - it plays the normal video in a tiny window top left, but rest of the screen is the horrendous ghost image shaded in red.

wow, i feel like an idiot. i had done the hack in advancedsettings but cause this was vista and not XP the user directory being used was different (not in program files but rather in users/.....). copied the file over and voila, full screen!

thanks for pointing me out to the post, led me to some other guy with the same issue who had folder problems :)
