c++ runtime error

Hi, I installed xbmc on a family members laptop, and all I am getting is a runtime error if i open the program. it is an acer laptop with vista, intel graphics.

what is going on?

Going to need far more info. Start with a debug log on pastebin.com and more details about the system and what you've already tried. Also, have a look in the forums, you aren't the first to see this.

how do i enable debugging when xbmc wont start?

Manually set it in guisettings.xml or advancedsettings.xml.

Hi, had to run it as admin. Crisis over :P (not used to vista)

Then you are running it incorrectly. You do not need to run XBMC as admin on vista. Make sure you're running in platform mode (it should use the -p option).
