hi,
i still have some problem with pictures...
pictures appear shifted down and right
i upload here http://fhoude34.free.fr/xbmc/ some shoot taken with my camera.
you will see all my screen setup and what i saw on my tv
i also upload the original picture i want to display.
position is wrong but i’m also wondering if aspectratio is really good? (i must have a back bar on top & bottom since it’s a 3:2 picture and my display is 4:3)

by the way i also uploaded a tif picture that freeze xbmc when you try to turn it (using the y yellow button). the picture display shifted also.

i would be so happy to move faster in the picture when zoomed (with the analogue stick)

please let me know
regards

fred

ps: version is xbmc-2003-11-17, i delete the previous full folder before copying the new build.

thanks for the pictures - once again, it helps immensly!

i think what is happening is that the picture "window" that is used is being moved by the ui calibration - you can check this yourself by reverting it to (0,0) and viewing the pic again. this is a bug.

i'll look into it (if someone else doesn't beat me to it!)

i'll also see what is up with the tif you supplied.

i checked the ui calibration but it's already 0,0 so nothing happened.
i also try ntsc setting since my default xbox standard is pal and the same problem happen as soon as i changed the overscan screen limit.
i'll try to remove the tmp folder as point out by ts.
i'll let you know.

:(
i'm sorry but even when deleting folder "0face008" of tdata & udata pictures appear shifted down & right. (tested on yesterday's version xbmc-2003-11-19)

hmm - the pictures were using the ui calibration which i have now fixed.

i have my calibration set to the defaults (0,0)->(0,0) usually, but i'll have a further play with it tonight and see if i can observe a similar behaviour.

i'll also test that tif picture you provided at the same time.

cheers,
jonathan

hey fred:

pictures issue is fixed. it was due to incorrect calculation of where the calibrated rectangle was.

also, i've added the ability to change the calibration without having to play a video, and you can also now adjust the screen pixel ratio.

i dunno what was up with that tif - i think it is a problem in the image library we are using (or we are running out of memory).

cheers,
jonathan

well done jonathan :)
the tif problem does not happen that often so it's not that important. i also have some 16bit per color tif picture that freeze xbmp and i'm wondering if it's not a memory pb since those pictures take about 40mo :(
again thanks for fixing the shift bug.

i test the new build and pictures are now perfectly displayed!
great job!

i've seen some new feature like realtime resolution switching, *i have to test this and see what could be done with that.

by the way, i did not succeed in displaying the square (as display in the calibration screen) or any picture for calibration but i test with an home made sqare picture and saw that it's ok.

thanks also about the pixel ratio adjustment.
