Is there any way to hide the weather menu on the home screen?

I'm setting up an Xbox for a friend who won't have it connected to the internet so it seems kind of pointless for "Check the Weather" to be the first option they see everytime it is turned on.

I noticed an option for disabling just about everything but the weather:

No in skin option to do so......It tells you that in the FAQ in the MediaStream folder. You would need to edit the Home.xml to change it.

Thanks. I didn't even notice there was a faq.txt in the folder. :o

I'm guessing trying to modify it myself might be a bad idea because of this:

Q) Can I hide the Power, System or Weather menu items on Home screen?

A) No, those 3 items have to stay there all the time to avoid an issue we found where the backgrounds flash annoyingly if one of the first 3 menu items is hidden

When i disconnect my xbox from the internet, my weather disappears. I thought this was common?

The weather displayed on the home screen disappears, but not the "Check the Weather" from the menu on the left of the screen.
