I have P3 933MHz PC having geforce 5200.whenever i boot XBMC 8.10 with
nvidia graphics, rather than booting into MC, it stop working at
terminal and screen blinks for 1 second after each second.but when i
start XBMC with ATI or intel graphics,it shows the MC but toooooo slow
to b used efficiently.plz help me out.:shocked::mad::mad::confused2:

I believe the driver in Live 8.10 - I cannot believe I am goiing to say this! Will not support your card the 5200, You would need to rollback the video driver from Nvidia's web-site to support. I cannot get it to work WEHN I test with a 6200LE Model

For the love of christ...please use less retarded syntax when posting here.
Nvidia dropped support for your card to it's legacy driver. You need to install ubuntu and said nvidia-legacy driver then XBMC from PPA.
the beta 1 live version support this card, i try it

Are you saying the Beta Live 1 version - whatever that is - supports The GeForce 5200? Because while blinking is only part of my problems, I could give this a shot. And how do I download the Beta 1 live version. Because I cannot find it on SourceForge which only seems to have the latest version.
Can you tell me what I should do after it boots up and I'm at the prompt? Do I have to enter some commands to bring up the GUI?

yes for me works but caution when you watch a video file : don't press the stop button to exit. Use backspace on keyboard. if not blank screen for me.
