I've noticed that if I resume a video after some minutes of inactivity (paused) the screen dims 20-30% from it's normal state. The only way I've found to reverse this is to restart xbmc on my PC.

Anyone else experienced this ???

It's the XBMC screensaver, you can disable it from settings menu if you don't like it...

Are you running an LCD? If so it might need to warm up again? Since you are resuming I dont think its teh screensaver?

I have a new dedicated Vista PC that only runs XBMC. The TV is a 42" Plasma screen. Been using it without this behavior until upgrading to final 8.10 release (I think, but not completely sure).

I checked the settings, and the screen saver is not active. But if that was the case it should dissapper when i resume activities.

That's the weird thing. It wont go back to a 100% intensity before I restart the XBMC. Navigating in menus with either the remote or the keyboard has no effect.

I can confirm this behaviour. I also have vista, using the latest svn build.

Ive beem toying with Jesters latest builds. The problem still exists and the annoying thing is that since nothing crashes I would guess the logs wouldnt pick up anything special either to debug.. Very annoying.
