XBMC causes crashes.

I have used xbox krayize ndures 2.0 to softmod my xbox and install the unleash x dashboard. I also used the extras to install DVDX2. I have downloaded T3CH XBMC 2008-11-13 8.10 PROPER from his official site. I moved the XBMC folder and all of its contents into E:/apps/ (This is where the Dvdx2 folder was)(I made sure the path was E:/apps/XBMC). After doing this I rebooted. I was greeted to a unleash x splash screen (the screen that says unleash x before the dashboard) that just keeps on refreshing it will continue intill I turn the xbox off. I then boot from the game save and go into FTP and delete the XBMC folder and restart all is good. Then I tired deleting each folder and trying to restart to see what in the XBMC was causing the problem. It was the default.xbe while that file is in the folder I get these boot problems and when its not everything will boot fine. What could be causing these problems?

My folder after raring has these files (credits,language,media,plugins,screensavers,scrip ts,skin,sounds,system,UserData,visulations,default .xbe)

Are there any files or folders that I'm missing.
Any more information that could help I can post.

Is it possible that this problem is being caused because I don't have a unlocked harddrive?

ok so I tired a couple different builds of xbmc
XBMC-2.0.1-FINAL-SLIM-T3CH
XBMC-8.10-FINAL-T3CH-PROPER
XBMC-SVN_2008-12-07_rev16491-T3CH

all of which the default.xbe file was in the /E/apps/XBMC/default.xbe location and I had the same problem with all of them.

For all of them all I did was take them out of the .rar file and then transfer the whole XBMC folder over.

Any suggestions I'll try almost anything to get this up and running.

It sounds to me like your softmod is trying to load E:\Apps\XBMC\default.xbe for some reason by default. If so, it will have likely created a log file in E:\Apps\XBMC\xbmc.log that may be useful.

Your dashboard should be located E:\Dashboards ( dash) \Default.xbe with krayize ndure and you should have a shadow C drive also the unleashx problem i had before wouldn't start remove the save for it can mind the location its in Edata or you can download an older version and use that that seemed to fix the problem i had.

i have my tsop flashed now so everything i have is all custom locations but when i had softmod with krayize ndure 1.1 i used the shortcut and pointed it to E:\Dashboard ( dash) \XBMC\Defualt.xbe and place the shortcut in E:\Dashboard ( dash) \default.xbe + default.cfg this has the be the same name as the shortcut name ie default.***

also try putting XBMC in E:\Apps\Media\XBMC and creat a shortcut in your apps folder to it and see if this works.
add this to unleashx config.cfg

Did you manage to solve this problem zandstr8? I am experiencing the same thing. Having the XBMC folder in E:\Apps causes the softmod (any softmod) to lock up.
