Hi,

Does anyone have an idea why videos (off all type) stops playing after 5 sec. in XBMC? When i switch cable from HDMI to VGA, it's runs fine!

When I play videos (of all types) with Windows Media Player, on HDMI, the videos play without any problem. So the problem must be within XBMC.

TIA,
Robstra

you will really need to post a debug log... this is a very interesting problem that you're having

I agree, very interesting and also very annoying :)

How do i send the bug report?

http://pastebin.com

open xbmc, play a video you know can reproduce the problem, wait for it to fault, exit xbmc

then paste the contents of your debug log at that site and post the url it saves it to back here

does your card have a built-in HDMI port or DVI?

I use a GigaByte GA-E7AUM-DS2H motherboard. Nvidia 9400 is integraded, as DVI, HDMi and VGA.

That motherboard should have HDMI out onboard. I've been looking at that model for my Intel build.

Would it make a difference when I go from DVi to HDMI instead of HDMI to HDMI?

Or is it exact the same?

Try setting audio from 'digital' to 'analog' in the Audio Hardware settings and see if that solves your problem.

I use the SPDif-out on the motherboard to my receiver.
Would i still hear something?

I am watching Step Brothers on my TV at 1080p. I am using a 7200gs Gigabyte Nvidia card with a DVI to HDMI cable and it works fine

I use the same board and configuration. Disable the "Digital Output Device (HDMI)" in your control panel/sound/playback properties.
