Hi there,
Thought I'd finally give xbmc on windows a try after being impressed with it on xbox.
I've installed it on my vista box to use instead of vmc. I tried starting it. Nothing happened for about 2 minutes then finally it appeared. The interface took another minute to appear but I couldn't interact with it at all. Each time I tried it would fade out and give the standard 'not responding' windows error.
Only things I can think of that are odd about my setup is that I have 3 monitors (2 video cards), miro and cccp installed. I have a 3Ghz core2duo and 2gb of ram.
Any ideas? I really want to get this going as I'm bored of vmc and impatiently waiting for boxee windows ;)

sounds like an exotic setup. maybe xbmc is unable to get your display resolution info because of that 3 screens. dunno though. an error log might be useful.
i know it's working with 2 display setups.
you've tried to start up xbmc in windowed mode?

I've tried windowed mode yeah, but had the same issues. I did notice that if I moved the window across monitors, I'd get one on each monitor for a bit and it kept jumping between them.
I'll pm you the xbmc.log . Are there any other files that would be useful?

don't get me wrong here, mate. i'm not involved in the project as a developer, that were only my 2 cents and thoughts on your prob.
you might want to open up a ticket on the xbmc track (http://xbmc.org/trac) and post your bug report there with your corresponding log file attached.
i'm pretty sure you get an answer very soon, since the devs monitor it regulary.
sorry for not being as helpful as expected.

Ah, no probs mate. I didn't want to post a log publicly with all my folder paths etc.
Thanks for the help anyway.
