Upgrade XBMC Live from SVN

Is it possible to upgrade XBMC Live from SVN (https://xbmc.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/xbmc/branches/linuxport/XBMC/)? or is it only possible from PPA, using apt-get update/upgrade.

If yes, is there any quick guide on how to perform?
