Startup scan not finding new episodes of TV shows

Running atlantis on Windows XP SP3, with my video library on an SMB share. When starting up, it will detect brand new shows just fine, however it will not find new episodes of existing shows. The only way I can get the library to pick up the new episodes is to click on information and then refresh information for all episodes, however this is quite time-consuming.

Same for me. I also use Boxee and it finds new episodes with no problem at all. Hopefully someone will post an easy fix to this problem. The problem with doing the refresh is that it seems to overwrite any thumbs/fanart you have specified.

Any help appreciated...

I deleted my entire library and started from scratch and things appear to be working again, very odd...
