Slow streaming image and slideshow

Hi All,

I have an issue trying to stream my picture over my 100mb network. I have around 50 folders containing an average of 100 pics each on a network my book world.

Trying to view my pictures is impossible. When I try to open a folder xbmc freezes as if it was refreshing the content. Once ready (10min min.) the sideshow is also very slow (20 sec per image, settings on 5sec).

Same problem here. About 25,000 photos in my Photo Partition (G:) on my NAS. Access is painfully slow from XBMC..

I had that problem only the first time accesing my pictures folder (10000 pictures, 16GB). XBMC automatically creates thumbnails for the folders and scans them.
When i realized that I just let it work through it, after that everything seems reasonably fast

did this fix your issue? I'm having the problem but I have around 40gb of pics...thanks.
