I am sure many know the ATV struggles with HD video greater than 720p 24fps 4Mbps.
Could CoreAVC be used for decoding in mplayer. End-users would of course be responsible for purchasing the appropriate libraries from coreavc, but I am sure many people would appreciate it would help play 720p H.264 CAVLC content more smoothly on the ATV and slower underpowered computers at a cost of lower image quality.
