I haven't updated XMBC since installing a number of months ago, I decided to update it recently as decided weather would be quite useful and had been fixed in recent builds, however I also noticed there was an update for the
t3ch updater so decided to update that. Unfortunately after updating the updater it then wouldn't run on the old build I have installed, unfortunately I can't easily install a new build as the updater isn't working on the old build, catch-22. Any ideas on a solution, I have a bit of computer knowledge but am new to xbmc so may take a bit of explaination sorry.

Cheers

Nothing stopping you from doing a manual install as per the wiki. T3CH updater would probably just OOM anyway.

Your problem is that T3CH Upgrader from v1.7.3 only runs on Atlantis xbmc builds, you need to get v1.7.2 which will be in the one of the older T3CH build installation archives on the T3CH site.

Or do a manual update to latest xbmc build, then use T3CH Upgrader v1.7.3 from then onwards (v1.7.4 submitted to xbmcscripts.com recently and will probably be in the next T3CH build)

just OOM anyway I'm assuming that means "Out Of Memory", a common problem caused by skin and resolution, the best practise is to switch to a 4:3 resolution and the script will unpack the builds fine if it has more than 31mb free.

Is there a way to see which T3CH build is actually running/installed? I did the upgrader, and all seems to have went well, but I am having some Hulu Plugin problems that some say are similar to what they had in the Nov build, and the latest 12-30 fixed it

Edit: Well the problem went away. Ends up I was running the older version still. The updater only copied it to the hard drive, but the "Switch" did not actually install/overwrite it. I needed to do that using UnleashX File Explorer, while not in XBMC. Still would be good to know what version is running

the script has its version number on the menu title bar, also in the include changelog, which is viewable from the scripts settings menu.

If the switch didn't work then you probably Havant specified in the settings menu the correct name that your mod is using to boot to the xbmc dash.
This is detailed in the readme.txt
