How do I configure XBMC to play ISO or IFO files from a DVD?
I have tried to play a iso file, but it just freezes XBMC...
Thanks in advance
Logfiles please (via pastebin). ISO playback on local hdd works fine for me. Never tried one stored on DVD.

I'm very new with xbmc, can you tell me where the logs file are and if I have to do something special to get the logs of the possible error?
Thanks

Hi tebicenter,
Welcome to the XBMC community! For Win XP, the log file is saved in the C:\Program Files\XBMC folder as xbmc.log. Open this file using Wordpad and paste the data to http://pastebin.com/ and click "Send". Then post the link here (link looks like this: http://pastebin.com/m7d37d845).
I play mostly DVD ISO's stored on local HDD with no problem. In File Mode, Just select the ISO to play. If playing Video_TS folders, select the VideoTS.ifo to play. You may have to update to the XBMC files that render videos(http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=38726).
Questions for you:
1. Are you playing a DVD disc or ISO / ifo and VOB files?
2. For ripped files, are they stripped of protection?

1- I have some DVD with ISO files and others with IFO and VOB files.
2- Yes, the protection is stripped.
PS: I'm at work now, later I will upload the logs...Thanks

Sorry about that. I also have a log file there though! I guess it might be something else?

The normal log is stored there, the debug log is in App Data afaik.

Please read the faq link I've posted. It's explained there.

thanks neoanderson2002 !!!
IT'S WORKING GREAT NOW
I just updated the libraries and work awesome now !!
I like a lot that right from the interface you can change everything, from sound, image to subtitles. I come from MediaPortal and this has to be configured from the remote (or at least I didn't found any other way)
Thanks for the help and keep up the good work.
PS: Does anyone knows if xbmc can show the name of the audio track (i.e.: English 5.1, Spanish 5.1) while you are selecting them when playing a DVD?
