View CPU usage and frame drops during playback?

Hello- I am trying to view my current CPU usage and frame rate information. I press the information button during a movie playback and the only information I see is how many minutes the movie has played. Is there a setting or plug-in that can give me more information while playback is happening, things like CPU usage and frame drops, ETC. Any help is appreciated.
