I have three ethernet cards in my PC... Is it possible for me to know which one xbmc is using? Eth0 does not appear to be working for me.

I know it is using eth0, and has eth1 disabled and the wireless one disabled. It appears that I can only fiddle with eth0, but I don't know which one that is. If I can see what it is reporting as the vendor it might help. I have a Realtek RTL8029(AS) and a Marvell Yukon Gige 10/100/1000 installed along with a Belkin 11M Wireless PCI card.

I read that the XBMC Live is barebones, and am wondering if that includes not being allowed to make changes to any of the network config options? Even though eth0 is the "enabled" card, it is set for DHCP and won't let me change that. Can I change that? Can I enable those other cards?

You should be able to, but you'll have to get down to the command line to do it.

Thanks, I was able to edit /etc/networks/interfaces to add eth1 and that seemed to work.

I'm trying to setup a wireless card in my XBMC Live USB.

My wireless network is setup for WEP 128, with an SSID and Hex keystring. Where do I specify settings for my wireless network card? If someone can point me in the right direction.

Also, when I tested my XBMC with wired connection, I used to be at the command line when my NVidia drivers were not installed properly. Not that they are, my XBMC does not boot to the command line. So how do I go to the command line?

Thanks.

I used these guides

To get to the command line hit ctr+alt+f2 then log in.
