Comming soon to an PM3.HD XBMC near you
maybe
WOW, that looks great! I can't wait!
Man, you do like offspring! :)
But nice.
Looks fantastic! Will the scrollbar be optional?
not really otherwize its too hard to get from 1 side to the other if you have 100's of videos

Wow Jezz!!!! "B E A -Utiful!!!!" Thats what i had in mind for a PM3-Horizons skin idea i had a while back, but never got a chance to make. Using much more usage of 16x9 with little for wasted space. Nice job buddy!!! Can't wait.
Hopefully something similar is coming with the dvd covers view (in a row), using most of the width possible like the 2 images show. Thanks. I'll be keeping a tight eye in the SVN for these changes. :)
Well this view actually replaced the dvd covers in a row due to various technical issues the biggest being hitting the view limit.
And for the same reasons it wont be hitting the SVN until after atlantis and jm has hopefully fixed/added a feature for me http://xbmc.org/trac/ticket/5216 but I do plan on uploading a version to the forum so people can test it
Sexay, I like where this is going ;)
For those who want to give this a go
http://blackbolt.x-scene.com/Jezz_X/PM3.HD.Coverflow.rar
Note you don't need anything later than Atlantis Beta2 to run this but you will be missing a couple of labels in the skin without the latest SVN
Also note it has an issue of for music and videos the coverflow is the default view for new users /fresh install but thats minor as you can change it straight away
As per usual not sure how speedy this will be on xbox its not made for it

Thanks for the trial Jezz. I was thinking more like replacing (temp. until more then 10 views can be added, currently there's only 4-5 only including videos, assuming shows and music are another 4-5 added.) maybe either List view OR Media Info view since those are almost the same anyway other then the position of the cover and including synopsis. That would free up a view to use to have a view with 8-10 covers in a horizontal line, somewhat like how we did one of the few views in Back-Row skin. Would that help out for an suggestion til the views is taken care of? Just sharing my idea's. I like it so far though either way.

I like the DVD coverflow, but is there anyway to make the covers small at the bottom of the screen, then have the fanart covering the top of the screen?

No sorry that would just be AEON :)
P.S. This has now been added to the official skin in the SVN minus the issues below I listed before Thanks to jmarshall for making it work better
Also note it has an issue of for music and videos the coverflow is the default view for new users /fresh install but thats minor as you can change it straight away
^^ Not applicable anymore ^^

When you added this did you remove one of the views from the video library to make room for this view?
Thanks (away from home so not able to try it yet)
CD coverflow - would you considering adding the artist name somewhere?
(Ducks for cover, since we almost always are on opposite position when it comes to skinning :) )
But man do I like the rectangular frames instead of the oval ones in PMII ;)

No I didn't because jmarshall added the ability to have more than 10 views properly instead of a hacky way so it is still included :)

Yeah I can do that though it will only work in the library because filemode is just folder names

Was that fix platform specific?
How many views are now available? That is how many is it now capable of?
Sorry for all the questions :D

Sho allready answered in a around about way but you can now have as many views as you like 500 even (but that would be lame) and until it gets merged to xbox its linux windows and osx only

Hmmm...Is this one of the things that the XBox platform will never be able to do? Or is it just behind for the time being?
I apologize for a noob question. But I searched and couldn't find an answer.
Where can I get this CoverFlow mod from?
What steps are involved with installing it on Windows XP?
Install the latest Windows community build (the easy answer).
For the alternative skin version with Coverflow, there is a download link on the first page of this thread.

I just thought that this version on first page is just for testing and not the latest one.
Now it's clear.
Thank you very much!

But if you use the version of this from the link on the first page dont you lose some of the views from the video section?
Last time I tried this I gained the coverflow in music but lost the dvd cover view in the video section.
the version on the first page is a preliminary test version.
For the full shebang you have to install a pretty recent build of XBMC.

Thats what I thought. Just waiting for a more recent build to be compiled and released.
Thanks Sho.....

I installed Rev17060, but it doesn't have coverflow view.
So I downloaded mod from first page and replaced PM3.HD with it.
not made its way to the xbox yet only windows osx and linux

Is this new view in the PM3-HD that is in the new build (1/25) thats on T3CH for xbox?
If not, is there a way to add this (kind of like Jezz did with the 3 files that had to be changed for the tvshow/video mod for PM3-HD)?
Thanks......

yes it in the new t3ch release
I finally figured out why I can not see coverflow option.
The reason is that I do not use library mod.
If I switch to library mod and set content, coverflow option does show up.
Is there a way to make it show up in file mod?
it should show up in filemode too now you have content set for anything you set to movies

Yes, you are right,
But my question is there a way to enable coverflow from beginning among other view modes to be on a list without switching to library mod and setting content?
Currently I need to perform the following steps:
1)Fresh install -> video settings -> disable library (I don't use library)-> no coverflow option
2)video settings ->enable library-> go to source -> set content -> coverflow shows up
3)video settings -> disable library -> coverflow stays and now it can be used on any other video source (without content)
If you open up Views3dCoverView.xml go to line 619 it should say this
<visible>Container.Content(Movies)</visible>
remove the whole line and it will always appear everywhere. (and look dumb in some places too)

Great! That worked out.
Thank you so much!
