Hi there,

First of all I must say the load time is bloody quick. MediaPortal takes 9 seconds, Vista Media Center takes 8 seconds, XBMC only takes 2!

I am new to XBMC and i'm finding it a bit confusing.

- Can I change the scrolling RSS feed at the bottom? If so how?

- How do I change the Music and Video sections into "Library Mode?" it seems to me blanked out.

- How do I add video files that are stored on my NAS?...I can't for the life of me figure it out, its very confusing.

My movies are stored here:

\\NAS-NAME\Films\

My TV-series are stored here:

\\NAS-NAME\Films\TV Series

Is it a problem that I have my movies and tv series technically under the same root folder?

Thanks.

I think maybe we need to enact some sort of punishment for breaking the "don't bump your own thread in <24hrs" rule...

All these questions are answered in the online manual. In order to improve said manual, perhaps you could take a read of it and let us know what you don't understand?

Man, I'm so sorry, totally missed the Online Manual - thought it was for the XBOX setup.

Again, sorry, I'm not usually THAT guy.

I was confused because I couldn't seem to add my mapped network drive because the drive letter Z: is reserved by XBMC.....just figured that out now :)

I take it you have to wait 30 minutes before the RSS feed actually updates if you change it in the xml file?

Thanks for reading.

The feed xml file is probably only read on boot. After that it updates the feed every 30 minutes.
