Odd question about default PMIII skin

Just curious, why is the default XBMC skin set to display a text label with wide icons? Strikes me as counter intuitive to have these beautiful wide icons that clearly show what show / movie / etc they represent but then muck up the clean look with text that basically repeats what the picture says?

Just curious, and is it possible to kill the text labels?

Not as far as i know, but it would be a welcome option.

well then i guess it's time to put my money where my mouth is.... i will see what I can muddle through to get that option added...
