I'm trying to find the solution to this as it has been happening over the last few months, but I have been unsuccessful.
I have 4 XBoxes. When I turn them on, they won't successfully connect to the SMB shares immediately. When I go to "Video", then to the DVD folder (source name) I get a lock dialog prompting me for a username/password. If I just select okay and retry a time or two, it will eventually connect and work just fine. The default user is "guest" with no password. I have setup my NAS with same default credentials.
My sources.xml does NOT have the workgroup as part of the source URL.
It is driving me crazy!! What can I look for/try/edit/change/delete that could offer a clue???
I see this sometimes in the log:
00:27:34 M: 42868736 ERROR: SMBDirectory->GetDirectory: Unable to open directory : 'smb://guest:@READYNAS/media/Videos/DVD'
unix_err:'1' nt_err : 'c0000022' error : 'Access denied'
But I don't need to change a thing for it to start working.
Any help is appreciated.
