View Full Version : Music library fails to update (libid3tag.dll?)

There are few albums which i cannot scan to the library. Progress bar hangs and based on CPU usage it isn't doing anything either.
Every time this happens this following error shows in log:

SEVERE: DLL: Q:\system\libid3tag.dll : realloc failed, crash imminent (Out of memory)

I'm using Atlantis beta1, is there possibly an updated version of this file somewhere? This was already a problem in alpha4. :oo:

It could be your tags are causing problems in XBMC.
Ideally you could upload a problematic file somwhere and link to it for a dev to take a look.

Nevermind, something had corrupted some of the id tags. Instead of artist names and titles there were only squares
Retagged those and scanning worked perfectly :nerd:

Thing is.. they should not crash XBMC.
So if you still have examples I think Jonathan may appreciate them.

Yes - please give us any and all samples that cause a crash - we never, ever want to crash :)

Cheers,
Jonathan

i guess i could try reproducing it. those were tagged with mp3tag v2.41 using ID3v2.3 with UTF-16 encoding :nerd:
