Playback looks like the Clip is damaged

Hey Folks,

since i've moved to XBMC for windows i've noticed a huge problem with a quite large part of my video collection: the playback contains video errors like you'd usually get with bad files. Blue/green blocks, skipping, etc.
Most .wmv arent event played at all, if they do i am unable to skip through the clip.

All those files play just fine with windows media player 11 and VLC on the same PC.

Is there something i can do about this?

Yesterday i've experienced something similar. Large blocks, mixed images and audio & subtitles delay on XBMC Win.
Tried XBMC XBox and the same file plays fine with no errors what so ever.

I've recently instaled the cpu patched version of XBMC Win, could this be the cause for the artifacts/delays?

CPU patched version? What sort of different releases are there? I am on the latest official Build (happend with the 2 before that too) and downloaded from the official website.

my system features a 4400+ X2 Athlon, 4GB Ram and an good old 7800 GTX 512MB with WinXP SP3

Glitches and skipping on windows playback and works fine in windows media player and on XBMC for Xbox.

Seems to bring up this error code over and over in the log whenever it glitches.

Happens on two differnet PC's:

32 bit Vaio Core 2 Duo, ATI mobility 3400 series video card, running Vista.

64 bit HP Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz, 2000 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s), Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family running vista as well.
