TUTORIAL REMOTE CONTROL REMOTEXBMC 3.0
WORK WITH WIN 98/ME/2000/XP and XBMC PC
before any changes save your original file
REMOTE CONTROL XBOX:
ORIGINAL REMOTE AND GENERIC
For a best use replace keymap file "XBMC/SYSTEM" by that is included with remotexbmc 3.0.
This software works with all XBOX1 remote controlers (drivers include to the setup file). It allows you to use your controler (and receiver) on your PC with XBMC.
1. Install your XBOX infrared receiver on an USB port. You can either buy a USB adapter or disassemble the kit + some welding just like in the bellow pictures.

2. install your remote controler drivers (brought to you by the REMOTEXBMC 3.0 setup)
3. install REMOTEXBMC 3.0 either in the XBMC folder or a separate one. If you install in the XBMC folder, by editing the REMOTEXBMC.INI file at the line :
STARTXBMC=TRUE
you will allow REMOTEXBMC to launch XBMC at startup.
For the eventclient mode, the address and port are : 127.0.0.1 3670.
Don't forget to open your webserver in XBMC configuration using the above information.
To move to autamated mode, click on the status bar icon and change the current mode (you will have your hardware information on top of it).
For a better usage of the automated mode, don't forget to replace the keymap.xml file located in the xbmc/system folder by the one brought by REMOTEXBMC 3.0.
Work with mode AUTO and EVENTCLIENT.

3- close the exe and edit REMOTEXBMC 3.0.ini

VENDORID=&H.... < change the ... by your info
PRODUCTID=&H...< change the ... by your info
4- Re start the REMOTEXBMC 3.0.exe
