Cyclic Problems

Hi, i used xbmc for a while and it worked very well.

But no i have a strange behaviour for 2 days:

i recognized cyclid HDD Access (seen via the blue led at the case front)...
all 2-3 secons the light is lit up and the hdd gives a sound.

if i turn xbmc off, this behaviour is gone.

i tried to start xbmc in windowed mode to check the cpu load... nothing speacial to see on that.

when i set the debug info in xbmc to on i get an on screen display showing m cpu and fps.

everytime the hdd is beeing accessed i get a fps drop from 99 to approx 54.
every 2-3 seconds. (first thought was the ATI card...but i had no problems the last days anyway...)

on the main screen of the xbmc there is an rss scroller. this scroller stops during the hdd access... stopping is not the right word , he kinda "hangs".

Any ideas on this behaviour ? i would really appreciate any help.

Every 2-3 seconds it's loading another background image.

Thnx for the answer.
But the system was really "hanging" at that point ...even the rss scroller stopped.
i could not find the error,so i am reinstalling windows at the moment.

i will give a feedback later on.

Well the render thread is waiting for the image to load, so yes, the RSS will stop briefly.
