Hi all.

I searched some in the forums but cant seem to find much about this process. Have I missed a thread somewhere?

I dont know if its my cheap stick that is causing all these problems. After installing fine on a friends 1gig flash (had to nano the .sh file) I get some kind of errors when trying to install Live on my 8gig (UT165) stick.

At the end of the process I get the following results (might differ since I hade to write it down on a piece of paper).

0- None
/urs/bin/mkLiveUSB.sh: line 216: let: s=/3: syntax error: operand expected (error token is "/3)")
1 - MB
/urs/bin/mkLiveUSB.sh: line 218: let: s=2x(/3): syntax error: operand expected (error token is "/3)")
2 - MB
3 - -10 MB

I guess that something gives a zero result in get free space.

Any one got a clue?
Tnx in advance,
Chrillan

there is a recognized bug with >4GB disks, it will be fixed in next release.

Thank you for clearing that up I.capriotti. That stopped med from fiddling with this another 7 hours. :)

Looking forward to the next release then.

Kepp up the great work. I just re-discovered XBMC. I had it on my xbox1 aloooong time ago. I still remember some of you guys from back then. ;)

Check out this thread. (http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=37334)

Specifically my post #4.

Exactly like you I was using an 8GB stick. I followed a fellow poster's advise and formatted the stick within Windows as FAT32. Tried again and it worked.

inDashMP3.. That seems to have done the trick!
I am currently waiting for the 7gig permanent storage file creation process to finish!

Big thank you!

Btw: I am testing all this in vmware on a macbook and it seems to work without a hitch.. :)
