View Full Version : Note to those getting "Boot Error" message on USB Flash Drive boot

This appears to be a known issue with a lot of Intel motherboards. I've been trying for two days to find a way around it, but I think I'm out of luck. This only applies to people getting the message "boot error" as soon as the PC tries to boot from the flash drive. If you are getting any other error, this isn't your problem.

This site has a cool little test you can do to see if your computer is able to boot from a flash drive. My system fails on it:

This is all just a FYI. If you're getting this message there's probably nothing you can do. I've tried two different flash drives and neither one works.

I was having that problem and something I changed in BIOS cured it it was in the boot section, last option, would look but wife watching movie

Hmmm....I would greatly appreciate it if you could get me the name of that option and the value you set it to. I don't think the last option of the Boot section of my BIOS has anything to do with it.
