Help with possibly bricked xbox (softmod)

I stupidly deleted my dash file via FTP so I just get the Service Required message on boot. The Xbox will boot directly to games so I'm hoping to just reinstall the linux profile through splinter cell. The Linux profile is on a memory card (or at least it was) plugged in to my controller, should Splinter Cell read the memory card saves as well as those on the hard drive? Splinter Cell doesn't show any saved games apart from if I save a profile in the game (basically not displaying Linux profile like I think it should be).

It's possible the Linux profile is no longer on my memory card as it's been a while since I originally modded it, in which case I can sort that out.

do a search for Frostys Xbox recovery disk.... should get you FTP access so you can repair your install..
