View Full Version : Start movie when clicking on a folder in file mode
I'm using filemode. And I've discovered that when using stacking and movies with a VIDEO_TS folder I can simply click on the top level directory with the movie title and it knows to start playing, which is great.
But I also have movies in .iso, .img and .avi format. Is it possible to click on the top level directory and start playing the movie someway? Or is it only possible with movies with VIDEO_TS folder?
Anyone? It seems to me, that the ability to click a folder to start the movie, would increase usability.

Press PLAY on the folder accomplishes this.
Or just scan everything into the library and forget about your folder structure.
Thanks for your reply.
I dont use the library. I change my collection too much all the time.. Cant be botherd to scan every time i move or delete or add something.
And I don't have a play button. I'm using the xbox controller.
I hope you will consider adding start-on-select when stacking is enabled? That would make things more consistent with the current behaviour of folders with VIDEO_TS. And it would improve usability for people using file mode.

I won't personally be developing such a feature, but I'm more than willing to consider a patch designed to do said feature (and point a developer as to how it could be done).
