Hey all, I am not really sure if this is an Intelliremote issue or an XBMC issue. I know the latest build of XBMC (Atlantis 4) has remote issues but some people seem to be working OK. System specs are a clean build of XP Pro SP3 with all updates and motherboard drivers on a Dell Dimension 2350 with a Geforce MX440 PCI video card and the latest Nvidia GeForce drivers. The remote is an X10 Lola with firecracker receiver using the latest firecracker drivers(that I could find) which Intelliremote sees as X10 DLL v3.0.0.84.

I have the XBMC profile and the X-10 device tester shows all the proper keypresses on the remote.

When I launch XBMC and press the down arrow button on the remote XBMC starts scrolling down through the menus and does not stop. The only other thing I can do is press up which causes XBMC to scroll upwards through the menus non stop. If I hit ESC then all movement stops. It also appears that up and down are the only buttons that are passing to XBMC.

I am really excited about being able to use XBMC on my HTPC but the remote issue is kickin my butt. I have build clean installs of XBMC on Ubuntu 8.04 and failed to get LIRC to do anything helpful. I have tried all combinations of IR Server Suite, REMOTEXBMC and X10_BMC and just can't seem to wrap my head around getting this going. I just get lost with Eventserver and keymaps and where they need to be and how they function.

Any thoughts or question on my setup?

Thanks for any assistance, and thank you for continuing on with XBMC!

Hello,

Not sure that X10-BMC is working with this DLL version.
Need to test with your DLL. My DLL version is 3.0.0.208.
Can you make your DLL downloadable to try ?

Anyway X10-BMC must work with Lola remote.

I too have the same problem with the unstoppable up and down scrolling. I'm using a Creative RM-1500 running Intelliremote build 2.6.4.748. So I'd say the problem is not with your specific remote. Hopefully, we can figure out what is going on here because I just installed xbmc on my xp system and I already love it.

I will report anything of use I find here. I will also be happy to test out any potential fix ideas.
