So after giving up on Chimp I'm using THIS guide to try and replace my HDD:

http://www.techfreaks.org/articles/modxbox2.shtml

I tried this on my other PC and it wouldn't work at ALL, now I'm trying it again on my new pC, with a brand new hard drive (160GB) and I'm not getting it to work.

If you look at that guide, basically it won't work right from the start. The main menu comes up and I press 1, and a bunch of info boots up. Then there is a line in that info that reads:

"PCI: Cache line size of 64 not supported by device."

That stalls for half a minute, some more lines fly by and then the next bit comes up. Then I follow the next step which is to type "xboxhd" and hit enter. Then I get this:

MOUNT: Mounting /dev /hda on /xboxhdm failed: invalid argument
Looking for CD-Rom in /dev /hda on xboxhdm failed: no such device or address

It repeats that for like 15 lines and then brings up the prompt again.

At this point I'm ready to give up on replacing my HDD because nothing seems to work. ANY suggestions would be great.

Sorry if I'm pointing out the obvious, but you said you did lock the drive.

So you unlocked it before trying to run xboxhdm on it, though, right?

Please, the correct place to discuss topics like these is xbox-scene.com forums (http://www.xbox-scene.com)

Here are the XBMC community we usually do not have know how about such things.
