Hi, I apologize for bringing up something as off topic as a topic about a possible broken Xbox, but I thought someone here would know what’s wrong.
I haven't used my Xbox for a while and when I now wanted to transfer something to it I realised that my router's lamp for my Xbox connection didn't glow. So I then tested to switch port and 3 other network cables but no success. I have also tried to boot up my Xbox with Slayers Install disk to see if something shows but it doesn’t show any IP on the screen and the router lamp is still off. I remember a short power failure when there was some lightning could this be the cause to why my Xbox network card is broken? Another thing is that I have one of those short-circuit power cords that you press a button to activate again. And that goes off when ever you giggle the power cord a little, but it has always done that. So do you think that the network card is broken or is it something else I can try? I live in an apartment so not to many thunderstorms here and nothing else broke but perhaps the network part in the Xbox is sensitive?
