Xbmc not starting

Hi,

I tried xbmc on my desktop 2 months ago and after starting it, nothing happened.

Today I installed a new pc with winxp sp2 for my mother and installed the latest alpha 4 release.
But I'm getting the same problem, starting xbmc and nothing happens.
When I try window mode, there a fraction of a second when I see a command prompt type window, and then again, as if I didn't start the program.

Any ideas?

install the latest drivers for your graphics cards form the manufactures site and it should run normally provided your card support at least Open GL 1.3
