XBMC for Windows under a virtual machine?

i installed a clean version of xp sp3 on the latest virtualbox (http://www.virtualbox.org/) version... then i tried the alpha 3 and 4 version of xbmc and everytime i try to start it it brings up an error message and wont start at all....

has anyone tried to install it on a virtual machine yet?

that's normal. they dont provide opengl capable virtual graphics cards. (though i think the new vmware will.)

If I may asume you arent running OpenSolaris underneath virtualbox why arent you just installing XBMC on that OS, seeing XBMC supports Linux/Windows and OSX ???

Hehe... because i wanted to install multiple OS virtually and try xbmc on each :shocked: forgot about the needed opengl support
