Hello Group,

I have been trying to get this to work for a while now and after coastering a bunch of DVD's I decided to ask the group.I'm using nero 6 & qwix to get games to disk and have had no trouble burning a ISO up to now. I have also made a comp. disk of avi files that play fine except they are all in the root dir of the dvd.

I want to burn 3 legacy games to disk & can't seem to get it to work. I have tried burning straight from Nero using ISO9660 & ISO9660+juliet ISO & UDF. I have also tried making the compilation into a iso then using qwix to optimize the iso.

my directory structure is
-root
-game1
(default.)
-game 2
(default)
etc...

I can see the applications in XBMC using the file manager, but none of the files run. When I try to use qwix to optomize the iso a 4 Gig iso becomes a 576k file which I know isn't correct.

My questions
1) Is the ability to run a file in a non root directory a limitation that I don't know about?

2) What format should I be using to do a compilation dvd that can be used with qwix and run in xbmc?

3)Am I missing something trivial?

TIA

This isn't XBMC related and you maybe should had over to X-S and study the tutorials and forums.
However, xbox related so moving it out ...

First off sorry about posting this in the wrong forum.

As for your "suggestion" as I stated in the first post I have been successful in burning games, videos & have read the tutorials.

What I can't do and don't understand why is get this multiple game disk to work. I also have a horrible memory and now that I have been trying all these options can't remember what restrictions to the format actually worked.

When ever I have used qwix on downloaded iso's they worked fine and burnt / ran with no issues. When burning the videos, I believe it was a iso9660 format they (avi's) worked, these don't. The games work fine on the HD just not on DVD.

Advice would be appreciated

TIA

The advice is: Go elsewhere. We aren't gamers so don't know the answer. You will find people that deal with physical media over on the xbox-scene forums, so that would be a better place to find answers.

Cheers,
Jonathan
