Video nfo scan in file mode

I would love a feature to scan nfo in file mode so the tags can be read in file mode as well as the library. A feature like the music tag reader would be very helpfull.

FYI; .NFO files are already supported, see the XBMC Online Manual for more information.

i believe .nfo support for video files view where xbmc would read in all the nfo files when entering a folder, thereby populating the video info, similar to how xbmc reads in all the tag information for music in files view. this was discussed recently in another thread.

Yes or just a feature if it grabs the video info on a file if it looks for an nfo (in video file mode).... the nfo is loaded when a movie is run in file mode, but only when a movie is run. If it could be loaded on an info call as well that would be great. That way the genreral listitem.rating etc labels would work.

this is a good idea. for me i just need to create nfo files for my movies. then xbmc always would scan the movies with correct information. making the need for scrappers less needed :)
