View Full Version : [LINUX/MAC/WINDOWS] MP3+CDG Karaoke Files Support in XBMC for Linux/Mac/Windows?
is this enabled in win32 build?
as far as i can see i don't seem to find it in the audio settings and can't find it in build log nor in the project files... is it an xbox (and linux) only feature?
thanks

Do you mean MP3+CDG karaoke files?, ...not even the Xbox version of XBMC support CD+G discs.
MusicSongFile.mp3
MusicSongFile.cdg
sorry, i mean mp3+cdg files
how to enable it in win version, if possible?

http://xbmc.org/wiki/?title=Music_Settings#Karaoke
Settings => Music => Karaoke => Enable CD+G
yes, but under win version that option is missing, as you can see:

its possible. the karaoke stuff is ifdef'ed. it may not pass on windows. i dont know if this is intentional though.

???
i dont know. all i know for certain is that the karaoke code is surrounded by ifdef's so it can be excluded at compile time. i've honestly never used the functionality, so i didn't even notice it was missing.

hmm... i just noticed cdg and karaoke disappeared from linux too... i'm under r15240, so maybe somehow the ifdefs completely left the feature off from compiling
ok, just filled a feature request in trac, even if i think this isn't a new feature but more of a recheck of the code to see when was this rip off the build :)

I remember using the karaoke function on the xbox some time back during a party, it's great party fun :)
