can I change the main menu

Hello All.

I'm new to XBMC and thinking of making a switch from MythTV.

Just wondering if it is possible to dynamicaly change the main menu options in the frontend. I don't have a capture or TV card in my HTPC and therefore I don't want those options in the menu.

I have looked at the faq and wiki but I can't figure out if this is possible...

Which options in the menu do you not want? Yes - everything in XBMC is skinnable, so everything can be changed.

For example. If I want to remove the [program] and [weather] option and put a specifik program on the main menu. Can I do this? Must it be done in the current skin or can the menu be manipulated thre a frontend? Like in good ol' 'meedio' and 'media portal'?
