I've made a Dutch translation for the wonderful MediaStream skin.

It was the least thing i could do to thank the Team :;):

I Uploaded a new translation file with some corrections and interpertations, I also PM't it to dynamix, so he can take a look. It would be nice to have one translation everyone agreed on.

Hi guys,
I've spoken to Dynamix, I'm going to have a look at the file a second time tomorrow morning at work (specifically the configgy stuff I didn't get round to looking at this morning).
Bar something being on fire when I get in in the morning I'll have a final file for Dynamix before noon.
Nice to see such a collaboration on translations :)

Looks good to me though I have one final remark.
String 31655, I don't think we should be using 'roulerend' which translates back to English as 'rolling'. I think maybe 'geroteerd' or 'gekanteld' would be better. I must admit I'm not entirely sure what this setting does would be good if someone could elaborate.

Now i know what this setting does: you can switch your seasonthumbs between portrait and landscape view :nod:

I was pleased there where users willing to help. Because Dutch isn't the easiest language to translate to... It reminds me why i love English so much :laugh:

Maybe we can take a look at the Dutch translation of XBMC itself? :rolleyes: I've seen some words i don't really agree with... for example: "bekijk nummers" in the music library.
Added v4 to svn, thanks guys.
And please review the XBMC translation. I know as the Swedish translator, that there are always room for improvement in the translations :)

How old is the dutch translation for XBMC?
Could be useful to PM the main/last translator for some tips ect.

Hi Folks,
I made some corrections consirning the use of capitols.

Take a look..is it worth to put this one into the SVN (I think so :;):)
According to Blittan the dutch translation is not too old, infect I took a look but didn't find anything disturbing Credits for that!!.
Except for the translation (XBMC translationfile) of string: 20412 and 20421 (related). The translation sentence is longer then the English one. The result is that both strings are overlapping in each other. (Happens almost with every skin) This happens on xbox by the way, not on PC because the higher resolution. I've scratch my :confused2: about it, but couldn't find a better/shorter translation then the current.
Someone a better translation, or maybe changing the way to present this menu option (mediastream featurerequest)

Also the width of the strings are sometimes a pain..
There has been discussion of making stuff resizable depending on length, but it won't happen til after Atlantis, and we come up with a good solution of it.

You read my mind on the capitals thing, IIINeOIIINL :rolleyes: I wanted to adapt it this evening, thanks for taking care of that.
Another thing i noticed is that some skin options gave me de English translation instead of the Dutch one with the new MediaStream release.
IIINeOIIINL, can you check that on your xbox?
Forgot to mention:
It must be due to new added strings in the v0.88 release. I cannot check atm, but will do that asap.
As i had little to do at work, i had time to update the Dutch translation already. It includes the new strings added to MediaStream v0.88

Only thing I noticed from the translations from day one is that in the "Skin settings -> backgrounds" every word is beginning with a capitol. I checked the English translation and it was the same. Maybey the sentence are build up from several strings...?
Somebody any idea?

I could translate the strings right now, but i will translate them after i see what they do in the skin, because sometimes the string is too large, and i would like to do a contextual translation and not the "correct" translation.
Can't wait to get my hands on the new version of the skin.... <string id="31685">Show Animated</string> ... i want to test this one...hehehehehe
There are some new strings, but you never now if it's gonna fit.

I translate swedish before, even in xbmc.. then there is always a chance to correct them in the next release.

Nope unfortunately once Atlantis was out that was it but hopefully people will realise that they can download the most up to date version of the skin from our website.
