I just setup my 1.6 xbox for 720p. Well I was having a good go checking out heaps of different movies and oggling the way-cool up-scaling. Any, the xbox suddenly cut out and the fan started roaring and the LED started flashing yellow/orange?
I figured it must of got hot. I've read all the posts here I could find about fans etc, and while a couple mentioned "Panic Fan Mode", they didn't say what happened once this was activated.
Does it stop automatically?
Mine was running for ages - none of the front buttons responded, so I ended up pulling the plug. That stopped it. I rebooted and the CPU temp was like 50c. The fan is set to auto. I've obviously never run at 720p before, so is this going to happen while watching a movie - or more because I was loading many movies? I guess the HD makes the old-girl work heaps harder. Thx
