There are only a handful of movies in my Library that contain interlaced content but when they play I've found I always need to manually choose one of the Interlace options for it to play without tearing (often Bob or Deinterlace).
Last night I didn't manage to find an Interlacing solution that provided a nice smooth image. Some interlace options were heinously bad with really blocky jumps on parts of the screen. Best was Deinterlace.
I'm not sure why XBMC didn't Auto Select any form of deinterlacing though. Actually, I'm not sure XBMC has ever chosen an interlacing option of any kind.
Most of the interlaced files are xvid rips from interlaced PAL DVDs using mencoder with the interlacing flag set - didn't want to run a deinterlacing filter at the time.
Do others have interlaced content that plays well on XBMC with the Xbox?
Currently running T3CH build from Jul-28 and running at 720p resolution (player is set to 720p as well).
Everything is smooth as silk with progressive output. Interlacing should crawl into a hole and never come out again.
