I am a user of XBMC for Xbox for quite some time, recently decided to try this.

However, after scanning my video library, Movies in particular, my entire movies library is sorted in reverse alphabetical order, no matter how I change the sort order from ascending to descending and back again.

Flame me if this is already documented.

Thanks in advance.

Flame, flame ;)

Go to Sort order. Move RIGHT onto the wee arrow. Click it to flip the sort order.

Sorry, but where is that?

Specifically in PMIII.

In the left bar in library view, or in video settings?

Try it - it won't bite (too hard anyway)

And yes - on the left in PM3. It says: Sort by: <blah> ^

Note the wee ^ - that's the direction.

Cheers,
Jonathan

In PM3 it certainly animates - not sure which skin you are using. Good to see you got it going.

oddly, the little arrow thing is workable in any other view.

except movie library. weird.

I presumed you had it fixed. If not, please do the following:

Delete userdata/database/viewmode*.db

If it happens again, please determine the exact steps you used to make it happen and post a bug report on trac.

Cheers,
Jonathan

I too ran into this problem but not sure how it occurred. I tried deleting the mentioned db file but it still remains. Any other suggestions? The only thing I can recall messing with recently was allowing changing the remember views for different folders setting but I have since toggled it both ways and still have the problem.

Any other suggestions?

i too had this problem, it definitely happens where the arrow isn't selectable and the order is stuck on Z-A.

Deleting the viewmode file didn't solve it and I ended up having to edit the file...was a while ago now but if you

> delete the file
>restart xbmc
>go into the folder that has the order problem
>exit xbmc
> ftp the file to pc and open

doing this means you should only have one entry in viewmode.db (makes it clear which line needs editing)

the field that needs editing is called something like sort order and you need to change the 1 to a 0 or vice versa...
