View Full Version : Aeon backgrounds no longer work

I'm not sure if this is an overall svn issue, or just a win32 issue.
I noticed your launcher test build and the current svn I just compiled (14430) kills Aeons dynamic background functionality. I don't know if you even use Aeon, but it allows you to define folders for background images. This was working fine in the last installer build (14125).

The current svn just contains the method XBMCshellexecute but it's still not in use there and it uses the old system method. So I doubt it has something todo with it.
Can someone confirm this bug also on other platforms?
I can confirm that backdrops also stopped working on Back-Row but it wasn't just that the backdrops weren't loading XBMC wouldn't even show the preview image of any backdrop. I can't retest this again because my builds are screwed ATM.
Would you mind opening a bug report on trac with as much information as possible?
I really don't know what feature you're speaking about and this might be something for jmarshall ;)

Post a trac report with exactly how to reproduce (including how you get to the setting in Aeon, and where files are placed and so on and so forth).
Already done. It has been picked up by d4rk.

On a side note none of my builds actually show the svn number within XBMC show info.

I did notice that setting a single image for a background doesn't stick, but that could be a skin issue, as I have never treid that setting before and I just got the new Aeon build 13c.

Confirmed using AEON and Back-Row - folders fixed, single image broken.

I'm going to need verification that it used to work (with the same version of the skin you are using now) before I'll have time to look into it.
